The 20th Anniversary of the Toolangi Sculpture Trail:

Artist in Residence

November 2016, Toolangi hosted 14 Sculptors to create works onsite from materials from the surrounding forest, on the sculpture trail that was first created 20 years before.

Jo was privileged to be mentored in the project by museum curator Maudie Palmer AO.

As one of this group Jo's work focused on the Fungal networks which create balance in the forest, and the destruction of this delicate ecosystem caused by clear fell logging in the area, represented by skeletons leaning up against a fungi covered tree stump, A number of spiders webs around the installation echoed the theme.
